32-year-old  Willian Borges da Silva who left Stamford Bridge at the end of his contract after seven years at the club, with Chelsea only willing to offer him a two-year deal rather than the player’s desired three years is soon to become Arsenal player by Saturday following his release from Chelsea.

Arsenal favorably signed the Brazil international players last week offering him a three-year contract while at the threshold of beating off competition from Barcelona and Inter Miami.

Arsenal secured Willian’s signature following reasons that he will play side by side with Mikel Arteta, and have the chance to work with fellow Brazilian Edu.

In all competitions, Willian had made 47 appearances for Chelsea finishing the season in fine form, with four Premier League goals after the restart which took his tally for the season to nine.

Although local foes seldom choose to do business with one another, in recent years Arsenal and Chelsea have contravened the unwritten rivalry rules, with several players having surprisingly moved between the two sides.
