Some angry youths have staged a protest at the Oyo State Police Command Headquarters located at the Eleyele area of Ibadan following the escape of Sunday Shodipe, the prime suspect in the serial killings in the Akinyele Local Government Area.

It was gathered that the youths stormed the police headquarters  where the Commissioner of Police, Nwachukwu Enwonwu, attended to them but some of the protesters were reported to have become uncontrollable as they attacked the headquarters with stones and other weaponry. The police were said to have stopped them.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, told newsmen that some students marched in protest:

“The CP and other senior police officers attended to them and answered all their questions.
