Executive Chairman, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Muhammad Musa Dan’azimi made the disclosure in Lafia while inaugurating a seven-man implementation committee to disengage all teachers without the mandatory teaching qualifications.
According to the Board Chairman, the disengagement is in accordance with the Federal Ministry of Education directive that has given the committee the go-ahead to carry out the assignments with due diligence, free of sentiments or favour.
Dan’azimi who was represented by the board Secretary, Hajiya Hashiya Ahmed, revealed that there were about 1,251 teachers without requisite teaching qualifications still teaching in primary schools across the 13 local government of the state.
