The police have re-arrested Sunday Shodipe, the prime suspect in the series of ritual killings at the Akinyele Local government Area of Oyo State.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the development to newsmen today.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had sent out additional investigative aids to Oyo State, including crack detectives to track down the fleeing serial killer.

Recall that the fugitive suspected of murdering innocent citizens at Akinyele Local Government Area, Moniya, Ibadan, Oyo State, had escaped from police custody in suspicious circumstances which triggered protests from youth in the state.
