PHOTO NEWS: CPICHEST receives AISR on pre-accreditation visit

Crown Point International College, CPICHEST, Owode Yewa South, Ogun State, received the Academy for International Science and Research, AISR, United Kingdom on an accreditation visit to the college.

Representing the AISR, the African Director of AISR, Prince Dr. John Adeniyi from Abuja in an interview with CEOAFRICA reporters disclosed that the essence of the pre-accreditation was to assess CPICHEST’s facilities to determine if the college can host their international qualifications adding that the pre-accreditation process was in two phases which are the facility inspection and document review and sighting to inform the management of CPICHEST about what AISR is all about.

Adeniyi disclosed that the AISR’s key focus is to establish medical research centre in CPICHEST that will foster research in health sector, development in deploying robot in health sector, and research in artificial intelligence in all areas of the economy.

He noted that he was quite impressed with the good facilities of the college set in place for conducive learning of the students.

Speaking on the benefits of AISR programme to CPICHEST, the director said that it will improve the college’s standard to international level, give them more confidence, develop their staff members at both local and international levels, and give them the ability and right to host international recognized program since the government is a major supporter of the AISR.

CPICHEST provost, Dr. Bayo Ojo, who spoke also with our newsmen, said the college is hosting a variety of courses in health, management, technology, and sciences. He added that the pre-accreditation visit is a show of strength of the college where the AISR team was taken round all the college’s facilities.

Ojo expressed optimism that the college will be accredited because it has what it takes to get accredited disclosed that CPICHEST will register 50 courses with the AISR adding that out of 22 institutions identified in Nigeria for the pre-accreditation visit, the college was number 5 on the list and the number 8th to be visited.

The college provost hopes that institution would have gained international recognition in the next five years. He said that the college will be hosting lots of programs that will cut across all sector once accredited as the AISR will make it possible for the college to have an increased number of courses, higher rating, facility improvement, and support from international organizations.

The registrar of the college, Dr. Ajasa Adekunle Olusola said that the collaboration is first of its kind and it has brought about a solidified relationship with the AISR.

In appreciation to the AISR management for counting CPICHEST worth of the visitation, the College Governing Council Chairman, Dr. Samuel Takon Ojong, thanked the entire AISR board for the relationship and accreditation visit, and gave its representative a plague of honour and commitment pledging that the institution will give their best through disciple and firmness.
