It was a befitting double celebration of Gallant Officer as Officers and Men of the Nigeria Police Force Oyo State Police Command celebrated the Pull Out and 6oth birthday celebration of DCPA Attahiru Isah today, 5th October, 2020 as he retires from the Nigeria Police Force.

The celebration which was held at the Oyo state Police Headquarter, Eleyele Ibadan, witnessed the presence of the state commissioner of police, CP Nwachukwu Joe Enwonwu, Rtd CP Fatai Owoseni, Special Adviser on Security to Oyo State Governor, other police officers, friends, family and well wishers.

The retired but not tired officer, DCPA Isah who spoke with CEOAFRICA, said ''I am leaving not because I have served Nigeria for 35 years but I am leaving because I am 60 years.''

The event which coincided with his 60th birthday was indeed a double celebration for the gallant officer.

DCP Isah advised his fellow officers that are still in the service to keep the flag flying despite the challenges that may come their way, adding that with patience and diligence, they will overcome and achieve positive goals that will be useful to the Nigeria Police Force.

Speaking further, DCPA Atthairu said that during his service years, he encountered a lot of challenges but he was glad he was able to overcome them and retire safe and sound.

He equally highlighted his experiences at the police academy and how he was able to positively influence others by rendering charitable services to the academy.

On the other hand, the commissioner of police, CP Nwachukwu Enwonwu appreciated the celebrant efforts and his positive contributions in service, describing him as a diligent and hard working officer.

Speaking on the directive of the IGP to federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), the CP said the command has communicated to the officers and men and will ensure compliance of the directive

In his words, CP Nwachukwu said “We are banning unnecessary patrols, they will only confide themselves to investigations or responding to the distress call when the need arises.

This message has been passed across to them and we will continue to reinforce not only to SARS but to all the tactical teams,” the Commissioner said.

The CP also condemned those using the name of the Federal SARS to commit crime, adding that he will definitely separate the shaft from the weed and expose those carrying out that malicious act.

Nwachukwu used the medium to assure the good people of Oyo State that the Nigeria Police Force Oyo State Command will leave no stone unturned in the fight against crime.
