Reports coming in indicate some numbers of persons were injured and vehicles damaged when suspected thugs attacked Nigerians protesting against police brutality and extortion in Abuja.

CEO Africa News gathered that the thugs attacked the protesters at Berger junction a few minutes after the commencement of the protest.

It was learnt that the thugs were armed with cutlass and other weapons.

The protesters were however said to have flogged and chased them away.
