OYO LG ELECTION: Hon. Oladejo declares to contest for chairmanship of Ibadan North-West

Hon Kehinde Oladejo has disclosed that  he will be contesting for the chairmanship position of  Ibadan North-West Local Government, Oyo state.

The philanthropist made his intentions known during a meeting  of party execos held at the PDP Local Government EXCO Secretariat, Salvation Army Ibadan.

Speaking on why he is the best candidate to  handle the position, Oladejo  mentioned the various Empowerment and Community Development Program he had embarked on, beginning with Road Maintenance and Bridge Construction among other projects which he had single handedly sponsored.

On what he will do for his Community if elected, he stated that he would strengthen unity and cooperation among members, promote and protect human rights and also run a transparent and accountable government.

Responding to his declaration, part faithfuls apploauded him for the bold step to run for the highest position at the Local Governemnt level but  advised him that position is not a do or die , so he should not approach his political ambition with the mindset of taking position by force or by  hook or crook but rather to approach it with an open mind of service to humanity.

Mr. Simon Egunfemi from ward 10 while speaking with our correspondent opined that good intentions are crucial to good governance, adding that leaders with bad intentions pollute their future as well as the future of their descendant.

The  PDP Chairman pf  Ibadan North-West Local Government, Alhaji Lukman Adesina urged  all  aspirants to desist from thuggery campaign and called on other members who are interested in contesting for one position or the other to make their declarations without fear or panic

Others present at the meeting were the aspirant’s ward Chairman; Folarin Kabiru, PDP Women leader for Ibadan North-West Local Gvernment; Alhaja Rofiat, party youth leader for the Local Government, Mr. Kunle and a host of other ward Chairmen and party executives.
