Emir of Gusau Clocks 90, Urges Prayers for Country

The Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Kabir Danbaba, has called on Nigerians to continue to pray for peace and stability of the country.

Danbaba made the call in Gusau on Saturday while celebrating his 90 years and 30 years on the throne.

The Emir said there was need for the general public to continue to pray for peace and stability of the country.

He also called on leaders to ensure justice and fairness to their followers, adding that without justice, leaders could not get the needed support and cooperation from the people they were leading.

He urged Nigerians to complement government’s efforts in tackling security challenges facing the country, adding that without their contributions government efforts would not yield posititive result.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that important personalities from within and outside the state attended the ceremony.

They included the Minister of Defence, General Aliyu Gusau, Malam Ibrahim Wakkala, Minister of State for Finance, Alhaji Bashir Yuguda and representatives of Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar among others. (NAN)
