Chrisland University, Abeokuta , Ogun State will hold its 2ndConvocation Ceremony on 26th November 2020.
This was made known to CEOAfrica In a statement by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola.
Babalola said this year’s convocation will be graced by quite a number of dignitaries that include; the Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo; the President of Trade Union Congress (TUC) and National President, Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff of Nigeria (FOBTOB), Comr. Qaudri Olaleye; Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon.Olakunle Oluomo Taiwo ; the Chief of Staff to Ogun State governor of Ogun State , Alhaji Shuaib Salisu, and a host of others.
While former President Olusegun Obasanjo is the Chairman of the Occasion, Comr. Qadri is to be honored as one of the Ambassadors for Chrisland University and a member of Chrisland Endowment Funds at the 2nd Convocation Ceremony of the institution.
“Chrisland University’s vision as an Institution is to become a world class university through resources, Science and Technology, Research in training leaders of a new generation,” the VC said.
Prof. Babalola said the Convocation lecture themed ‘Leadership, Sustainable Growth, A National Building in Africa: a Reflective Perspective” would be delivered by the Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology, African Union Commission, Prof. Sarah Anyang Agbor who is the the Key Note Speaker.
The ceremony will begin on Wednesday November 25 with thanksgiving service in the morning, followed by Dinner/Cultural Night.
At the Convocation Ceremony is the award of first and higher degrees, and presentation of special awards and prizes.
