The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) on Friday announced the appointment of Esq Olagunju Isiaka Abiola and other 71 legal practitioners to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Olagubju, an Ibadan-based legal practitioner received his Law Degree in 1992 from the University of Lagos, Akoka Yaba, the same school Governor Seyi Makinde had his undergraduate programme.

He enrolled to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in December 15, 1993 and started Legal Practice with BONAJO BADEJO & CO Lagos from January, 1994 to December, 1994.

In 1995, the active Bar Man moved his practice to Ibadan in January, 1995 when he joined the law firm of Tunde Abimbola & CO. till May, 1995.

For his vision in the legal profession, he later established ABIKE CHAMBERS with one non-professional and staff in 1995. His core areas include Intellectual Property, Corporate and Commercial Law, Receivership, and Commercial Litigation.

He was the Social Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ibadan Branch 2000-2001, the First National Assistant Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) (2006-2008), Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association Human Rights Institute (NBAHRI) (2008 till date), Member, National Executive Council (NEC) of the Nigerian Bar Association, Member, International Bar Association Pro bono Committee, Member, National Committee on the Provision of Pro Bono Legal services for Children in Conflict with the Law and the former General Secretary of the NBA.
