Dangote Cement had launched a 2.5m mtpa plant in Mugher, Adaberga District in Ethiopia, with a pledge by the company to ensure that it is completed on schedule.
The government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has praised the effort of the president of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote for his contribution in raising employment opportunity through the establishment of the new cement plant in its country.
This statement is contained in the letter of commendation from the Ethiopian government to Dangote in which the beneficiary country also promised to provide the enabling atmosphere to make the business blossom.
In the letter signed by the State Ministry of Industry, Tadesse Haile, the country expressed gratitude at the steady progress recorded at the plant construction site, stressing the government is determined to ensure that the construction continues without any obstruction.
The letter also disclosed that the Dangote Cement plant has become a successful reference point in the government’s task of luring foreign investors to come and do business in the country, stressing that the success of Dangote Cement will be a boost to the country’s search for more investors and the overall creation of employment opportunities.
