Lagos - The newly-appointed Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, said his ministry had put measures in place to assess the job performance of managers of the various federal airports across the country.

Chidoka disclosed this during a meeting with all Regional General Managers, Airport Managers and Terminal Managers of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria.

He said performance would henceforth be evaluated for greater output and productivity.
“We will monitor, measure the performance of everyone. This will enable us to achieve the goal of making every manager committed to what we want to achieve,” said Chidoka.

Yemi Adelakum, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Aviation, who was also at the meeting, meanwhile challenged managers to be IT-compliant and improve their communication lines for greater productivity.

He said that this would make them more efficient in their jobs.
