INSPECTOR-GENERAL OF POLICE REDEPLOYS 14 POLICE COMMISSIONERS

14 Commissioners of police have recently been redeployed to other state commands by the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar.

CEOAFRICA news correspondent learnt this development from the IG of Police in Abuja where he also urged the affected CPs to vigorously step up the fight against crime in their new posts.

According to the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, the Commissioners were also urged to ensure that officers under their supervision respect the right of the public to cultivating the trust and confidence of the public in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities.

Frank Mba also disclosed the commissioners were to also ensure there is cordial relationship among sister security agencies in their respective beats to effect proper check on criminal activities.

Among those CPs redeployed are, Adebayo Ajileye, Inspectorate ‘E’ Department, FHQ; Adeola Adeniji, Border Petrol; Hilary Okpara Bayelsa; Maigari Dikko, Ebonyi; Lwal Tanko, now Borno State CP; Ibrahim Ahmed, CP Zamfara.

Others include: DCP Salisu Abdullahi, CP ‘X’ Squad; Markus Danladi, Commandant, Police College, Maiduguri; Tonye Ebitibituwa, Training ‘E’ Dept, FHQ; DCP Lawal Shehu, CP Admin, ‘E’ Dept, FHQ; DCP Ibrahim Adamu, Deputy Force Secretary; DCP Abdul Danwawu, CP Armament; Hyacinth Dagala, Deputy Commandant, POLAC, Kano; Waheed Salau, Airport.

The Police IG also mandated Leadership and Strategic Management Course for six Assistant Inspector-General of Police and 13 CPs from various commands and formations, including zonal commands and Force Headquarters.
