Chrisland University, New Horizons set to partner on ICT training

One of the leading private universities on e-learning in Nigeria,  Chrisland University, has again front the tier in digitizing education as it sets to partner with New Horizons System Solutions Limited, a leading ICT training and exam testing institute, to integrate and build capacity of students, staff and non-staff on global Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), e-business, skills and entrepreneurship.

CEOAFRICA on Tuesday gathered that the partnership meeting was held at Chrisland University between the institution’s team and members of the New Horizons System Solutions Limited.

Operations Manager for New Horizons, University Unit, Mr. Victor Akinfala, disclosed that New Horizons is a system solutions company with a wide-range international understanding and knowledge in training, also increasing, integrating, providing, and developing knowledge in computer and ICT, amidst its fundamental capabilities.

He noted that beneficiaries of the ICT training would be awarded internationally-recognized certificates that would be geared towards creation of lucrative job and self-employment.

In her remarks, the Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS, acknowledged that the University aims at certifying its students with comprehensive knowledge in computer and ICT.

As part of a development that would help the learning institution enhance its curriculum, the Vice Chancellor approved the partnership and asked the New Horizons company to strategize and develop curriculum, leading to the award of international certifications, and prepare a Memorandum of Understanding to be signed before execution.

Recall that Chrisland University is in partnership with HP-Group to operate on a Learning Management System called Classera, which enabled the varsity to run a smooth 2019/2020 second semester and hitch-free examinations.

CEOAFRICA on 22nd January reported that Chrisland University held a partnership meeting with Ogun State Government on entrepreneurship training, vocational skills and acquisition; awarding entrepreneurship certificate, diploma programme to empower the citizens with the aim of adding value to the country’s economy.

It is worthy of note that the university is taking the lead in building the capacity of its students, staff and non-staff on ICT and entrepreneurship, awarding them excellence and preparing them for the global competitive market.
