Boubacar Keita’s Election Upheld by Constitutional Court in Mali

If the news received from Bamako is anything to go by, then the coast is now clear for President-Elect, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita to be sworn in as President in Mali, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.

It was released that the constitutional court in the country has finally confirmed the result of August 11 Run-off, and declared that Keita won absolute majority of votes by claiming 77.6 percent ahead of his rival Soumaila Cisse who had 22 percent.

Meanwhile, U.S President Barack Obama has joined team of many world leaders to congratulate Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, as he urged him to work tirelessly in rebuilding the country.
