CEOAFRICA.com gathered from Abuja, the capital of Nigeria that the head coach of Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi has named the final squad of players that would feature in the last round of group phase qualifier for next year’s World Cup scheduled to hold in Brazil.

The match holding in Calabar against Flames of Malawi would decide the team that will qualify for the final round of play-offs.

It was further gathered that the list includes 24 home-based players and 18 foreign-based players, however only five of the home-based players will make the cut for the game.  

Meanwhile, Captain Joseph Yobo was dropped once again from the team, likewise injured Kenneth Omeruo of Chelsea.

Making a return to the team are Nosa Igiebo, who plays for Real Betis in Spain and goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama on Lille in France who was left out of the team that defeated South Africa in Durban last week.

Players like Chigozie Agbim and Sunday Mba of Rangers, Azubuike Egwueke (Warri Wolves), Gambo Muhammed (Kano Pillars), and the trio of Sunshine Stars' Oboabona Godfrey, Benjamin Francis and Solomon Kwambe made the team list of home-based players.

Foreign-based players invited are: Vincent Enyeama (Lille, France), Austine Ejide (Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel), Elderson Echiejile (Sporting Braga, Portugal); Efe Ambrose (Celtic, Scotland); James Okwuosa (Chippa United, South Africa), John Mikel Obi (Chelsea, England); Fegor Ogude (Valerenga, Norway); John Ogu (Academica de Coimbra, Portugal); Victor Moses (Chelsea , England); Ogenyi Onazi (Lazio, Italy); Nnamdi Oduamadi (Brescia, Italy); Nosa Igiebor (Real Betis, Spain), Ahmed Musa (CSKA Moscow, Russia); Brown Ideye (Dynamo Kiev, Ukraine); Shola Ameobi (Newcastle, England); Emmanuel Emenike (Fenerbahce, Turkey); Obinna Nsofor (Lokomotiv Moscow, Russia); Uche Nwofor (VVV Venlo, Holland)

Meanwhile, the same team will face Burkina Faso in an international friendly scheduled for Kaduna on September 17.

African champions Nigeria only need a draw in the qualifier against Malawi to reach the play-offs that will decide Africa's five qualifiers for next year's World Cup in Brazil.
