Every 23rd of April is the date sets aside for the commemoration of books, authors and the copyright laws that protect them.
It is also targeted at celebrating the importance of reading, fostering children's growth as readers, and promoting a lifelong love for work of art and literature, bearing in mind that “readers are leaders”.
The benefits of reading is unquantifiable, as it helps to stimulate the minds, expand horizons, improves the memory and also help in the development of stronger analytical skills.
Studies have also shown that reading can as well act as a “stress reliever”.
It is in this light that, we, at CEOAFRICA, urge you to pickup and read a book today, not only to honour this Day’s celebration, but also to achieve the goals of reading- Knowledge!
