All is set as all roads lead to IAR&T Joint Annual Research Review

IBADAN- Monday, 26 April 2021: All roads lead to the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Moor Plantation Ibadan, as the institute is set to receive the Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development, Hon. Mohammed Sabo Nanono, Prof. Garba H. Sharubutu, the Executive Secretary, Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), the South West Governors, and other dignitaries to the Joint Annual Research Review and 33rd South-West Research Extension Farmers Input Linkage System (REFILS).

The South-West Governors who are as well stakeholders of the event are: Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Executive Governor of Ekiti State; Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State; Engineer Seyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State; Prince Dapo Abiodun, Executive Governor of Ogun State; Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, Executive Governor of Ondo State, and Gboyega Oyetola, Executive Governor of Osun State.

The anticipated event, which spans for 5 day, is from Monday, 26th April to Friday, 30th April, 2021 at Prof. E.A Adebowale Training Hall, IAR&T, Ibadan.

Guest Speakers at the event: Dr. Debo Akande, the Director General of Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), will be speaking on the topic “Agricultural Research and Entrepreneurship for Poverty Alleviation”, and Prof. Mohammed Kuta Yahaya, from the Department of Agricultural Extension & Rural Development, University of Ibadan, will speak on “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture, Food Security and Sustainable Wealth Creation amidst COVID-19 and Social Conflicts.’

The activity for each day begins by 9am prompt.

The Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof Eyitope Ogunbodede, and the Executive Director of the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Prof Veronica Obatolu, are the Chief Host and Host of the programme, respectively.
