Wednesday, 12 May 2021: Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, on Wednesday fired about twenty commissioners in the state over unproductively.

Uzodinma, who took the decision at the weekly State Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, retained only eight commissioners.

“The governor promised to reconstitute his cabinet soon,” the state commissioner for information, Declan Emelumba who was retained told newsmen.

Other commissioners retained include Finance, Science and Technology, Health, Works, Youths and Sports, Women Affairs and Tourism.
