Friday, 14 May 2021: The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a man, Muhammadu Aliyu, for allegedly sodomising a boy in the Kaduna metropolitan area of the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), Gambo Isah, said while briefing the press on the development that Aliyu was arrested while having anal sex with the minor, adding that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime.

In a footage posted on Channels TV’s Instagram handle and monitored by CEOAFRRICA, Isah was heard saying the 41-year-old suspect was nabbed through information received by the command about Aliyu’s alleged specialisation in sexually molesting minors.

The PPRO said, “On May 10, 2021, around 9pm, the command succeeded in arresting one Muhammadu Aliyu, 41, of the Kaduna metropolitan area. He is a serial rapist, who specialises in molesting minors.

“The police arrested him when he was having unlawful anal intercourse with a minor. In the course of investigation, the suspect confessed to the crime as well as other related activities. The investigation is still ongoing.”

Aliyu confessed to have sodomised the boy on four different occasions.
