Saturday, 22 May 2021: The late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 others who met their untimely death in the ill-fated Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash on Friday are ready for burial.

CEOAFRICA reported that their death was confirmed by the military on Friday with an announcement of their burial arrangements scheduled for today.

Service is currently holding at the National Mosque in Abuja for Attahiru and the officers of Islamic faith among the victims of the crash.

A similar service is holding at the Nigerian Air Force Protestant Church in Abuja for the Christians among the victims.

Meanwhile, their remains have arrived in Abuja.
