It was indeed a blend of tears, encomium and fanfare on Saturday, May 22, 2021, as Prof. Isaac Olawale Albert, a renowned Professor of African History, Peace and Conflict Studies and pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Multidisciplinary Studies, University of Ibadan buries his mother, Madam Comfort Olayemi Albert-Ogunkeye.

Born 28th April 1930 in Ilesa, Osun State and lived a very prayerful live until she breathe her last breath on Tuesday, 23rd March 2021, aged 91.

The burial began with a Christain Wake Keep on Friday, which followed by a funeral service at the Methodist Cathedral, Otapete, Ilesa, Osun State.

Late Comfort Olayemi Albert Ogunkeye was survived by three children; among them is Prof. Isaac Olawale Albert.

The burial was attended by intellectuals and personalities, including legion of cleric.
