Friday, 28 May 2021: The Principal of the School for the Gifted, Gwagwalada, Abuja, Mr. Okpe Samuel, on Thursday was awarded the FCT Best Principal award of the year.

The award was organized by EDU Radio and TV at Skill G Innovation Centre, Airport Road, Lugbe, Abuja.

Mr. Okpe Samuel who is the 8th Principal of the School for the Gifted, Gwagwalada, Abuja, established in 1993 was elated to receive the award.

He assured staff and parents of students in the school that this award would ginger him to do more for the development and upliftment of the school, stressing that the award would definitely rub off on the good performances of the school.

The parents, staff and students of the school took to the school official whatsApp platform to celebrate the award winning Principal.

Students of SFG are known for winning awards of excellence while the school was among the four schools that represented Nigeria in international science fair in Brazil and Slovakia in October 2011.

The School for the Gifted is a secondary school in Abuja, owned by the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) administration and it provides teaching and learning experience in special area of needs to the gifted children to develop their innate qualities.

It comprises Science, Humanities and Business classes for Senior Secondary Education with a motto of "Vision and Excellence"
