From Cairo, CEOAFRICA news desk received a report that the spokesperson of the Muslim Brotherhood, Ahmed Arif has been arrested by the interim military government.

It would be recalled that earlier in the week, Mohammed Baide, the group’s spiritual leader and Safwat Hegazy, a preacher and hardline supporter were arrested along with hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood protesters in Egypt.

This arrest came few minutes after it was announced that the former president Mubarak be released on bail, while his successor, Mohammed Morsy has been held since early July when he was ousted from office.
