Gunmen attack Dambatta in Kano, abduct businessman

Friday, 4th June 2021: Unknown gunmen were said to have attacked Kore Village in Danbatta Local Government Area of Kano State Thursday night, at the end of which one person was abducted. The victim, one Emmanuel, an Igbo businessman, according to CEOAFRICA’s findings, is said to have been residing in the community for over seven years. According to an eyewitness, Mubarak Muhammed, who confirmed the incident via a telephone chat, the armed attackers numbering over 10 invaded the village at about 10pm on Thursday night. As of the time of filing this report, local authorities within the vicinity were yet to make an official statement on the sad development. When contacted for further confirmation, Spokesman of the Kano State Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, said the Commissioner of Police, Sama’ila Shuaibu Dikko, has dispatched a team of crack detectives to the scene so as to track down the fleeing gunmen who were yet to establish contact with the family of the businessman.
