CEOAFRICA.com gathered that Ex Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak has been officially released on bail from jail, but was immediately placed under house arrest.

An Egyptian court ordered that Hosni Mubarak be released yesterday, but Egypt’s military issued a decree to place him under house arrest while he awaits a retrial on charges of inciting violence against protesters during the 2011 uprising.

It would be recalled that Mubarak was sentenced to life in prison, but following an appeal, a retrial was allowed and on Wednesday, the court ordered Mubarak’s release because he has been held past the maximum time he can be detained before being convicted.
