As the premium reality show winds up, one would be right to affirm that consistency, creativity and professionalism have been the hallmark of the ongoing MTN Project Fame 7.0.

Last weekend, the eight contestants each performed a traditional song, a duet and also composed their own songs, having being tutored in the preceding weeks. They all gave a good account of themselves, singing their own compositions flawlessly. In the traditional singing session, Ugo’s rendition of songs from the 2nd album of Afrojuju creator, Sir Shina Peters (SSP), was well received by the judges, faculty and the enraptured audience, who couldn’t help but dance. Ugo, who is Igbo, delivered the Yoruba song effortlessly.

TY Mix and Adebantu were seen dancing as Ugo belted out Ewa gbo rumours kan to lo lowo…… Make Una Dance oh. Ugo also impressed with his composed song. Aided by his guitar skills, he proved to the judges and audience that he was ready to storm the music industry. Clement, Geoffrey, Emeka and Ruky notably also gave good performances, as this year’s contest grows hotter.

With this season producing brilliant performances, week in and week out, and viewers debating who will emerge the eventual winner amongst the contestants- Emeka, Geoffrey, Christian, Ruky, Clement, Debbie, Ugo and Dianella- the total view time is expected to grow exponentially in the days ahead.
