EID-EL-KABIR: CERDOTOLA Executive Secretary greets Muslims, urges Africans to love one another

Tuesday- 20th July, 2021: The Executive Secretary of the International Centre for Research and Documentation on African Traditions and Languages, (CERDOTOLA), Prof. Charles Binam Bikoi, has extended his warmly greetings to all Muslims across the world as they celebrate another year of Eid-El-Kabir.

He prayed that the celebration will bring joy, love peace and unity among  Africans.

In his message, Binam Biko urged Muslims to spread love in order to consolidate the African unity, adding that religion should be used as a means to advance love among the people.

According to him, diversity was not the cause of Africa’s problem in terms of under-develop but the attitudes of Africans toward one another, noting intolerance, extremism and bigotry if unchecked could threaten peace and unity which are the greatest asset that should not be taken for granted by Africans.

The Executive Secretary enjoined Africa Muslims to abide by the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), who in obedience to God’s directive, intended to sacrificed his only son. Africa should not relent in praying for peace, unity and religious tolerance which are essential to sustaining the glory of Africa and the world at large.
