Meanwhile a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Engineer Femi Babalola has described the action of the Ajimobi lead government over the demolition of the gate and fence of harvester road as high-handedness
Engineer Femi babalola in a statement issued in Ibadan by his Personal Assistant, Adewale Adekojo said that the attitude of the current government in the state has become a source of worry to the people.
Femi Babalola said that it is ironic that the so called progressives have no tolerance for any form of opposition in the state.
The PDP chieftain said that he believed that his intention to run for the office of the governor come 2015 in an interview with the broadcasting corporation of Oyo state (BCOS) on Tuesday 20th of August may be connected with the removal of the fence leading to Jogor center.
He explained that only two days after this interview, the state government brought out its bulldozers to pull down part of his investments (The popular Jogor centre) all in the guise of road construction.
He noted that this monument is one of the prides of the state and the timing of this work is not lost on the political observers.
He stated that it is sad to see a man who has taken the oath to defend the constitution using the power of the incumbent to silent all opposition in the state, adding that the constitution guarantees the rights of association and freedom of speech, so it is mind bugling to watch this
show of shame in our dear state.
