A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party Dr. Saka Balogun has said that his appointment as the Acting South-West Zonal chairman has not been confirmed by the appropriate authorities.

Dr. saka balogun in a telephone interview with CEOafrica said that there are fillers that he has been appointed but he is waiting for a formal approval from the national body of the party in Abuja.

On the south-west Zonal congress expected to hold tomorrow at the premier hotel in Ibadan, Dr. saka said that the congress has been put on hold until further notice by the leaders of the party.

He explained that the leaders took the decision so that proper consultation can be made across the zone and to ensure that all members of the party will be in attendance during the zonal congress.

He said that efforts are still on-going to ensure proper and sincere reconciliation of all PDP members in the south-west.

He however appealed to all the aggrieved party members to work towards peace and progress of the ruling PDP.
