The Cross River State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr. James Aniyom has revealed the gaping need for greater investment in palm oil production for its richness in vitamins, antioxidants and other phyto-nutrients.

According to the State Commissioner for Agriculture who was represented by the Director of Administration at the Ministry, Dr. Francis Adie during a stakeholder’s interactive session in Cross Rivers State, organized by the Nigeria Export promotion Council, palm oil has the capacity of wiping out deficiency diseases.

He however advocates for greater effort in the production of palm oil to promote healthy living as well as boost national economy.
