Wednesday 13th Oct.2021: Social media platform, Snapchat, experienced a service outage on Wednesday, leaving some over 290 million online users frustrated and unable to connect all over the world.
Snapchat was first reported as not being available from 11:30am on Wednesday, as users lament their inability to send and receive messages on the app.
The photo-sharing platform had acknowledged that it’s are currently facing some issues, as they assured that they’re looking into it.
Snapchat took to Twitter to write, “We’re aware that some Snapchatters are having issues using the app right now – hang tight, we’re looking into it!”
Some users also took to Twitter to decry the service downtime they are experiencing on the app.
A user @111kish, tweeted, “Twitter is the only app I can trust right now. First Instagram, now Snapchat.”
The majority of the users’ complaints, however, borders around their inability to send and receive messages and pictures.
This is coming nine days after Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram experienced downtime across the world. On the 4th of October, some three billion users were stranded as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram experienced some downtime.
The outage, however, lasted for about seven hours and this led to the loss of billions of dollars for the owner of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg.
