NIGERIA UNIVERSITY EDUCATION SUFFERS AS FG/ASUU TUSSLE PROVES IRRESOLVABLE

The fight seems to get tighter as ASUU members have declared how determined they are in the ongoing strike action contrary to the orders by the FG which directs that them to go back to work.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered this current position from the reaction of the ASUU Chairman, University of Ibadan Chapter, Mr. Segun Ajiboye, during an interview with the media today, 24th August 2013.

According to Mr. Segun Ajiboye, who affirmed that ASUU members are not in any way threatened by the directives of the FG, ASUU is not particular about the entitlement but the fate of the educational system that is constantly drowning.

He pointed out that the nation is suffering an ailment whereby some sector are extremely favored at the detriment of others, stating that the educational system is suffering extremely from lack of adequate funding.

He strictly stated that ASUU is ready to reciprocate the FG threat of No-Work-No-Pay with No-Pay-No-Work, adding that this is just the beginning as ASUU is so determined to be threatened by any order.

He however acknowledge Nigerians for their supports on the course, and as well calling for stronger support as the matter have to be dealt with once and for all.
