Grammy award winner, dies in a plane crash after sharing a video from the flight

SATURDAY- 6th November, 2021: Brazilian Grammy award winner, Marília Mendonça died in a plane crash on Friday after sharing a video from the flight.
The 26-year-old music star was famous for drawing millions of women to the country’s music scene dominated by men.
A statement posted to her Twitter account, confirmed that she died alongside 4 others onboard the air plane.
They include Marília’s music producer, Henrique Ribeiro; her uncle and adviser, Abicieli Silveira Dias Filho; the plane’s pilot and co-pilot.
“An enormous tragedy. Marília was an amazing person and a unique artist”, Marcelo Soares, Som Libre record CEO said.
The police in Minas Gerais announced that the aircraft went down in the area of Caratinga, in Rio de Janeiro’s north.
Marília was traveling from Goiânia to Caratinga, where she was scheduled to perform Friday night.
The well decorated artiste won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Sertaneja Music Album In 2019,. Her YouTube page has nearly 14 billion views.
President Jair Bolsonaro said Brazil was in shock and described Marília as one of the greatest artists of her generation.
“We feel like we have lost someone very close to us,” Bolsonaro wrote on Twitter.
