Friday 17th December 2021: A student and a tricycle rider have reportedly been feared killed by a speeding truck that crushed them on Thursday in Ibadan. 
Reports gathered that the accident happened around Airport Junction at Alakia area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
In an attempt to escape, the truck crushed three parked tricycles with one of the riders identified simply as Kayode.

The Residents of the area disclosed that the truck driver’s refusal to stop and speeding away from the scene, led to him crushing a student, however, it was not clear whether the student died instantly or not.
Some angry youths had given a hot chase and the driver was eventually captured and was handed over to the police at the Gbagi Police Station.
But for the prompt arrival of policemen and members of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, the driver and his truck would have been lynched.
