The provost of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAHPT), Dr Adekoya Owosibo has unveiled the plan for year 2022, stating that the institution will focus on floating programs for the institution..
According to him, the school will improve on infrastructure to meet the demand of additional higher national diploma courses, sustain the capacity development for staff with emphasis on physical participation, creation of relatively conducive environment for staff and students, better communication and relationship with various unions and so on.
Owosbo who made this disclosure while delivering his speech on the first working day of the year for the institution also urged the staff for their support, saying that his administration is open for contributions and constructive criticism, as this will help him to know where to channel his efforts.
The provost said “We will be focusing on floating other programs this year, which will service ND SLT, improving on our infrastructure to meet the demand of additional higher national diploma courses, sustain the capacity development for staff with emphasis on physical participation, creation of relatively conducive environment for staff and students, better communication and relationship with various unions and so on.
“Like I will always say that i welcome reasonable and constructive criticism, it will help me to know where to channel my efforts, we need to work more, at the same time we should make conscious efforts to ensure that nothing destroys the system and its legacies, otherwise the sacrifices of our leaders in the past will erode away”
Speaking further, he commended the union heads for their co-operation and readiness to support the administration in keeping the system running.
He said, “I want to also express my gratitude to all the staff in the college for your support, advice, ideas, sacrifices and commitment to duties since August 2020 when i was appointed as Provost of the College”.
“I must not fail to appreciate the principal officers, the members of the larger management team, the entire staff and our various unions for your extra efforts in attaining the height we can parade as a college today.”
The meeting was held at the Dr. KJ Nwufo hall situated at the college.
In attendance were the Deputy Provost Administration; Dr Mrs. F.O Ogunleke, Deputy Provost Academics, Dr. Isaac Ayodeji Registrar, Babatope David, Bursar; Mr Adeniyi Ojadiya, Internal auditor, Mr Ayodele Olayinka, And Other Head of Department, Union Head, Executives and members of Staff.
