The Edo State Government has announced the resumption date for all primary and secondary schools in the state.

In a statement, Permanent Secretary, Edo State Ministry of Education, Mrs. Stella-Maris Imasuen, said parents/guardians are to ensure that all relevant learning materials are provided for their children/wards.

She however noted that Idogbo secondary school remains closed till further notice.

Imasuen stated, “This is to inform principals, Primary School Heads, Proprietors of private schools, Parents/Guardians and the general public that all schools: primary and secondary (public and private) in Edo State resume for the second term of 2021/2022 on Monday 10th January 2022.

“However, Idogbo secondary school, Idogbo remains closed till further notice.

“Parents/Guardians are to ensure that their children/wards have relevant learning materials necessary for learning before coming to school.”

Idogbo secondary school was shut down due to the destruction of the school’s property by some students and hoodlums on December 2, 2021.
