FOBTOB Deputy National President, Aderogba mourns Oyo former governor, Alao-Akala

The National Deputy President of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, (FOBTOB), Comrade Adebayo Aderogba, has described the death of the former governor of Oyo State, Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala as a great loss to the people of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

CEOAFRICA had earlier reported that the prominent politician, who ruled the Oyo state between 2007 and 2011, died peaceful in his home town, Ogbomoso at the age of 71 years.

Alao-Akala was the deputy to Senator Rashidi Ladoja when he was the governor of the state from 2003 to 2007.

In his condolence message, Aderogba said “the news of Alao-Akala’s death came as a rude shock to him and to all people of Oyo State had lost.

The labour leader who is also an indigene of Ibadanland in a message made available to CEOAFRICA stated that the former governor died when Oyo state needed him most.

He also sympathized with the family of the late politician and the good people of Oyo state and pray that God grants him eternal rest.”
