Fear and confusion gripped the residents of the Basorun area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Friday, after a fuel tanker was engulfed in fire at a filling station.

A source who spoke to CEOAFRICA said the fire started when the tanker was discharging fuel to the .

He noted that the driver was said to have jumped inside and driven it away to the roadside.

Meanwhile, a photographer, Dotun Omiyale, who lives in the neighbourhood, shared some photos of the incident on his Twitter handle, stating that it took the three fire fighting water trucks to put out the fire.
