Operatives of Lagos State Police command have arrested a woman for allegedly killing her husband, Alaba Bakare aka Bama, in Ebule-Egba area of the state.

It was learnt that the deceased, who owned the popular Bama Hotel and Suites, recently arrived from Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, with his wife and three children.

The wife, identified as Motunrayo, got information that her husband had impregnated another lady shortly after their holiday in Dubai.

She reportedly drugged her husband on Monday night and placed a hot iron on parts of his body until he died.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Ade Ajisebutu, who confirmed the incident said: “The body has been deposited at the Yaba Mainland Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.

“The deceased’s wife and three others have been arrested in connection with the suspected murder case.”

Ajisebutu added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi instructed that the case be transferred immediately to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, for diligent investigation.
