President Muhammadu Buhari departed Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital Monday morning after attending the 35th Ordinary Session of Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government.
CEOAFRICA had reported that Buhari left Abuja last Thursday.
His last engagement before his departure from Addis was a meeting with the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. Amina J. Mohammed.
On the sideline of the AU meetings, President Buhari also held bilateral meetings with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the State of Palestine, Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh.
Buhari was accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Agriculture, Mohammed Abubakar and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk.
The National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno and Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar also accompanied the president.
