Samuel Eto'o of Cameroun
If reports reaching CEOAFRICA sports desk is anything to go by, then before the end of transfer window in Europe, Samuel Eto’o would have become a Chelsea player.
It was gathered that the Stamford Bridge side have upped their bid to sign the Camerounian captain with 6 million euro per year.
Meanwhile, both sides have not agreed on the length of the contract as Eto’o desire a minimum of two years, contrary to Chelsea’s policy that players above 30 years of age will only be offered one year contract.
The Russian club of Anzhi, where Eto’o presently pip his net, have already offloaded seven first-team players since slashing their budget dramatically at the start of the season to focus on developing local talent. One of those shipped out is Willian from Brazil, whose move to Chelsea was completed last week, while Eto’o could toll the same line in few weeks to come.
