The Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola has approved an orientation program on drug abuse for the student’s populace, especially 100 level students in the University in order to celebrate the year 2022 World Health Day.
This was made known in a bulletin signed by the Registrar of the Institution; Dr. Mercy A Agumadu and made available to CEOAFRICA.
In the bulletin, Dr. Mercy A Agumadu, FIPMA, MIASAS, ELMP informed all concerned officers and students; especially the 100 level students and students who are done with their Examinations that the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola has approved the orientation program taken place at the University Auditorium on the 8th of April 2022 which is meant to be a platform for this year’s World Health Day celebrated annually on 7th of April.
She disclosed that the orientation program will be done in conjunction with KODA, Nigeria; a Global Movement of Nigerian Youths concerned about unfriendly drug policies and the poor treatment of People Who Use Drugs.
The program which is tagged Knowledge Over drug Abuse is expected to have many eminent personalities in the Ogun State in attendance, among which are the Commissioner of Health in Ogun State, Dr. (Mrs.) Tomi Coker, top officials of National Drug Law Enforcement agency (NDLEA), ARO Hospital etc.
The program is expected kick-start by 9:30am.
