Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed thanks to Aminu Tambuwal shortly after the Sokoto State Governor stepped down from the presidential race of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

CEOAFRICA earlier reported that Tambuwal stepped down from the presidential race, lending his support to the former Vice President.

“Thank you, H.E Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, for your spirited campaign. I look forward to working with you as we unite our party and our country,” Atiku took to his official Facebook to say.

Tambuwal in announcing his withdrawal from the PDP presidential race appealed to his supporters to take his decision to withdraw in good faith.
