The newly elected member of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Oluwole Fatoba, has been sworn in by the State Assembly.
Oluwole Fatoba, a member of the All Progressives Congress, was elected in the Ekiti East Constituency one bye-election which held on June 18 to fill the space vacated by Oluwajuwa Adegbuyi, who died in January 2021.
The Speaker, Funminiyi Afuye, while administering the oath of allegiance on the new member, prayed that the House would not witness any loss of life again.
On his part, the new lawmaker said, “I have the capacity to give effective representation to the people of my constituency. I will contribute positively towards the unity and progress of the legislative arm of government, my constituency and Ekiti State in general”.
Fatoba also applauded the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi; his wife, Bisi Fayemi, and the APC members across the state and in his constituency, for their support that led to his victory at the poll.
