Oyo state Fire Service says only 4 were injured in during the fire outbreak in Orogun, Iwo/Ojoo expressway.

Meanwhile the Oyo state fire service has said that only 4 people were injured during the fire outbreak in Orogun, Iwo/Ojoo expressway.

The director of Fire service Kareem Oyekunle who confirmed the incident to correspondent Jadesola Ajibola in a telephone interview said that only the 4 people that were discounting fuel from the tanker that had an accident earlier today were badly injured by fire.

He explained that the NNPC tanker carrying 33, 000 litres of fuel had an accident in the early hours of this morning when the authority of NNPC decided to discount the fuel in it to another tanker when the fuel caught fire.

He said no death was recorded during the fire outbreak that only 4 people were injured and have since been taken to the undisclosed hospital for medical care.

He however advised all NUPENG members to always inform the state fire service when ever such step to discount fuel from one tanker to the other was to be taken so that the fire service can be on ground to avert future occurrence.

He added that the fire has also been put out but the state fire service.
