Arsenal’s youth team coach, Jack Wilshere has hailed Manchester United midfielder, Christian Eriksen, likening the Dane to Red Devils’ hero, Michael Carrick.

Wilshere backed the Denmark international to be a big player for Manchester United this season and signed former Ajax, Tottenham, Inter Milan and Brentford star Eriksen on a free transfer over the summer.

The 30-year-old, who joined the Red Devils over the summer transfer window, produced his best United performance to date on Sunday when he helped the Old Trafford landlords win their fourth game in a row.

Wilshere during a briefing with the Premier League productions team, stated that not many players have got the vision Eriksen has and he gives creativity.

“The pass (in the build-up to United’s opening goal against Arsenal), it’s almost like a Michael Carrick pass. As long as Christian Eriksen can keep himself fit and healthy, he will be a big player for Manchester United.”
