The completion of the 11 power plant under construction by the Federal Government has been target to be achieved within the first quarter of 2014.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered this declaration from the statement of Information Minister, Labaran Maku, while he was addressing the newsmen after the Monday meeting of the People’s Democratic Party in Lafia.

The Minister stated also that seven out of the 11 power plants had so far been completed while efforts are being intensified for the completion of others before the end of the first quarter of 2014.

He further divulged that the Federal Government had completed 150 out of the 220 injection sub-stations being constructed to stabilise and hold the power to be generated, noting that the privatisation of the sector would enhance efficiency in power delivery.

However, the minister noted that the Federal Government deserved approbation for completing the plants in two years, adding that the result would double within the next few years.
