The Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi is uncertain to play in Nigeria’s upcoming friendlies against Algeria.
It was reported that Ndidi sustained an injury while training on Wednesday.
The Midfielder might return to his club in England this week for further treatment on the injury.
Ndidi has struggled to stay fit recently which has limited his appearance for both the club and Country.
The midfielder had missed the latter part of last season after sustaining an injury, while in action for Leicester City in a UEFA Europa Conference League clash against Stade Rennes, in March.
Ndidi had last featured for the Super Eagles in the second round encounter against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles Head Coach, Jose Peseiro has three midfielders; Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi available for the friendlies.
